Come join us at The Kingston Yacht Club in Kingston, ON for our inaugural “Sock Burner” to welcome the 2025 sailing season to the waters of Kingston Harbour! Enjoy a bonfire, fresh PEI Oysters, shanties and musical performances, local brews and drinks, and snacks in good company!

The festivities will kick-off with the sacrificial burning of a pair of socks at 2:30pm, before we head out into the harbour for the “Slow Poker” Sailing Rally - a sailing treasure hunt in Kingston Harbour where sailors will “race” to collect tickets for a prize draw! Check out our cool committee boats - The “Little Toot” & a Wooden Runabout from The Thousand Islands Boat Museum and a wooden 1956 Greavette Cadet operated by Tall Ship Expeditions - Brigantine!

Following the regatta, everyone is welcome to join us at Kingston Yacht Club for Fresh PEI Oysters from Whalesbone Ottawa, refreshments provided by KYC, and a bonfire, accompanied by nautical music, shanties, and games for sailors, and aspiring sailors of all ages!
