Welcome, apprentice monsterslayer! The time has come, the season of creatures foul and fiendish is upon us. Gather your wits and your weapons, and join us in the fight against the things that go bump in the night… ⚔️

Ironwood’s “Monsterslayer School” workshop is a 2-hour introduction to authentic medieval martial arts, presented in a fun, safe, and Halloween-themed way 🎃 Students will learn about real techniques using a variety of historic weapons (dagger, longsword, and spear), in the context of how to use your skills to slay monsters from the darker side of legend and folklore.

All equipment is provided, though we recommend you bring a pair of gloves, and a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

🧛🧝🧟 Costumes are strongly encouraged, but not required. And there's no acting required on your part, either: this isn't roleplaying, there's just some lore. No matter how you choose to dress, please ensure you are able to move freely enough for light physical activity.

This workshop contains mature themes, and is open to anyone ages 16+, no prior experience required. Students ages 16-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all parties require their own ticket.
