Electronics in your clothes might sound like science fiction, but e-textiles offer a fun and accessible way to explore electricity, circuits, and sensors through familiar craft techniques.
Join Tett Artist-in-Residence Lee Jones for an introductory workshop exploring the basics of soft circuits — electronic circuits made using flexible, textile-based materials. Participants will learn how to sew with conductive thread, build a simple circuit, and experiment with different sewing techniques through an e-textile stitch sampler. You’ll then use what you’ve learned to create your own light-up bookmark to take home.
No previous experience with electronics or sewing is required. Beginners are warmly welcome!
