In June 2027, Kingston’s waterfront, historic streets, and vibrant cultural venues will become the stage for more than 100 of Canada’s most influential travel writers, editors, content creators, and influencers – creating national exposure for the people, products, and experiences that make our region unique.
Over 10 days of curated experiences, delegates will explore Kingston and Southeastern Ontario, producing compelling stories and social content to inspire audiences nationwide.

To give conference attendees an authentic taste of our region, Tourism Kingston and our regional partners are developing a collection of 12 curated pre- and post-conference familiarization (FAM) tours. We are looking for local operators, attractions, and hospitality partners to help us showcase the very best experiences our region has to offer. Partnering with Tourism Kingston to host a media tour offers your business the opportunity to:

Form direct relationships with key media figures and industry leaders.
Collaborate with regional destination marketing partners to support economic growth across Southeastern Ontario.
Selection Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated based on their media appeal, uniqueness of experience, alignment with conference messaging, regional representation, and partner commitment.
Tourism Kingston will welcome approximately 200–250 travel media and tourism industry delegates for the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) Conference, June 9–12, 2027.
We’re inviting local tourism partners to propose half-day Local Tour experiences (3–4 hours, including transportation) that showcase Kingston through memorable, media-ready experiences.
Start with an experience you already do well — then tell us how you could elevate it for a travel media audience.
Think special access, hands-on experiences, tastings, demonstrations, local experts, behind-the-scenes moments, or other opportunities that create a great story.
Strong concepts will offer:
A compelling Kingston story
Unique or memorable experiences
Strong photo, video or interview opportunities
Meaningful interaction with local people and places
Tourism Kingston will coordinate transportation. Partners are encouraged to provide in-kind support or low/nominal hosted-media rates where possible.
Submissions will be considered based on media appeal, uniqueness, storytelling potential, connection to Kingston, accessibility, feasibility and partner contribution.
Expression of Interest deadline: August 13, 2026
Selected partners will be contacted by August 28, 2026 to begin developing the experience with Tourism Kingston.
